Busted!!!

OK, I had to put this one up! We went to the zoo today, and she was playing in the river bank sand and she just looks like she is busted for something. I am not sure what she thought I busted her doing, but it looks pretty serious!!!

Audrey Flies Her First Kite!!!

We went out and Audrey flew her very first kite! She has a Mickey one OF COURSE!!! She loved it, and loves chasing the kite while it is in the air! I was so proud of her for being brave enough to handle the kite and get it flying on her own, after a little help from Nana!

The Pratt Pack....

Here is Audrey's new favorite in our house! She calls him Sammy Lammy Ding Dong! He is my mom and dad's newest puppy!

Here is Bucky. He is the newest member of the Pratt House. He is one of my mom and dad's dogs. We are happy to have him!

Here is Roscoe...the Cha Cha Roanie...as Audrey calls him Big fat Bologna. Cute though for bologna!

Here is Logan....he is my baby boy! He's just plain awesome!

Here is Daisy...she is suffering from a systemic yeast infection common in female shephards. I have put her on a new holistic diet of avocado, lamb, and brown rice. Also I have put her on some new enzymes and am giving her bio-pack in order to create good bacteria in her system. Hopefully we will have some great before and after photos of Daisy when she is better!!

The Will of the 3 1/2 Year Old!!!!!

Well, we have rounded the corner of toddlerhood with Audrey. The will of the 3 year old is way more than we expected. Although she is imposing her will upon us, we can at least look at it as a prelude to her little sister Eva in a few years! Although the worst thing that seems to be happening is her sense of fashion. I am no longer allowed to purchase and pick out her clothes for her. She has her own sense of style!

The one thing we have had to do is put child locks on the doors since she is now an escape artist! It has been enjoyable too...she says some hilarious things, and now that we have this wonderful new gadget for sending videos on the internet through email, (thanks grandma and grandpa!) we can bring you in all her glory in full color!

We decided to take her out of daycare until we find a pre-k program when she turns 4. We were very unhappy with some of the behavior she was coming home with. Within 2 days of being home, she went back to being her sweet self, and we were relieved. Now I am working with her at home, and she is starting to write her letters and numbers. Her cutting skills have improved so much, and she stills loves her music and art time!

Gardening....Schmardening....!!!!!

Well, after purchasing the house over 2 years ago and living with the unbalanced bushes put in by the builder, I couldn't take it anymore. I had to do something about the yard. I rented a tiller, and realized that gardening in Texas involves a pick axe instead of a shovel. After digging in the backyard and finding an actual road underneath our yard, I thought the front would have been easier. HA!!!

I finally got around to putting in some native cactus's and plants here. Dave and I decided to put in a crate myrtle and a prickly pear cactus. These we learned from the Texas Almanac are the state plants. We searched for that prickly pear everywhere. I found a spineless one, but Dave had to have the real thing. We put some Yucca cactus's in the back yard, in response to the dogs trying to dig out!

So, here are some pictures of the new yard! I haven't finished the retaining wall, we need another layer. I am glad we are finished since it is now May and about 95 degrees everyday!

The Napping Pratts...

I have never seen a group of people better at napping than my family....

It doesn't matter when or where, these Pratt's will sleep anywhere and everywhere! Especially the big one in the middle!

Eva's First Food!!!

I can't believe Eva is almost 5 months old now. She has had some stomach valve problems, and is taking Axid for it. She is finally starting her solid foods and her first try was rice cereal and sweet potatoes. (well any good southern girl eats sweet potatoes first!). She moved on to banana, peas...(NOT a personal favorite of hers), pears, and now squash. She is eating well, and we have been told her stomach valve is getting stronger every day!

She has been rolling over for about 2 weeks now, and is on her way to crawling soon!

Wildflower Drive

We took a trip through Fredericksburg, TX on the Wildflower drive. It is always around this time of year that we drive through the hill country to Wildseed Farms to see the yearly emergence of the wildflowers. Although it wasn't the peak weekend for it, we were able to see all of the Texas Bluebonnets, Alamo Fire, and poppies all over the place. We had fun at Wildseed farms playing around by the waterfalls, and looking out into the fields of flowers. We stopped for a beer (ahhhh Spaten), bought some jalapenos, and ate some of the most amazing homemade jam on homemade biscuits. I learned what a crawberry is and had no idea they were like cranberry's grown in the bayou of Louisiana!

Dave finally purchased his prickly pear cactus for the yard, and more pictures to come of the destruction and reconstruction of my front and back yard!

Afterwards we went to the Auslander Biergarten for some of Opa's sausage and some kraut! Ya gotta love the little German settlements in TX!!!

Easter Part II...

Unfortunately, it rained here on Easter, so the egg hunt took place indoors. Audrey found lots of eggs full of goodies, and the ones she colored for the easter bunny. Eva hung out in her pretty easter dress (thanks to grandma and grandpa pratt!!)

After a day of non-stop action, we finally settled in and had a great easter dinner prepared by myself! The ham and potatoes were great, and everyone fell asleep like it was thanksgiving!

Easter Part I..

We had such an amazing Easter this year! First on the eve of the Easter Bunny's arrival, Audrey was so excited, and we made easter eggs with elmo and mickey stickers, and colored them in all of her favorite colors. She couldn't wait to put them out for the easter bunny to hide. She also was hoping that he would leave her lots of eggs full of goodies...she also thinks that Santa Clause, Cupid, the Easter bunny, and Leprechans all live together in a commune! LOL...

Here are some pictures of Easter eve....

Obama Rally!

I took Dave and the girls to their first political rally for Barak Obama! Audrey picked out her favorite button of Obama, and we adorned Eva with a button that said "Women for Barack!" I think she was the youngest attendee there! We had a great time listening to Obama's speech, and I signed on to work on his campaign here in TX. Dave and I have liked him since we read his books about a year ago, and am hoping he will beat Hillary for the nomination....but enough about that...don't get me started on that! LOL...

St. Patrick's Day!

Top O' the Morning to ya! We had such a fun St. Paddy's day this year! We dressed all in green except for Dave that day! Audrey had fun getting to pinch people not wearing green, including daddy! Eva looked adorable in her "Kiss me I'm Irish" outfit, and the girls loved playing with the St. Paddy's Day bear! Audrey thought leprechans are real by the end of the day, and asked me if they lived under her bed for about a week afterwards! She had fun eating luck charms before school, and having a St. Paddy's Day party at school!

Eva's First Trip to the Zoo!

We took the girlies to the zoo, and Eva had her first encounter with the animals. We saw some of the biggest vultures I have ever seen in my life. We also had a chance to see the elephants getting a pedicure! Audrey loved the monkeys...not unusual for her! Eva enjoyed the flamingo's, and the play area. Audrey and daddy also enjoyed rolling down the hill in the play area in a cloth tunnel! I think Dave got stuck a time or two!

Valentines Day!!!

We had a great Valentines Day this year. Audrey made out at school with a bag full of Valentines loot, and at home from Cupid visiting our house! Eva had a great time too! We made daddy a Valentines day cake with pink frosting and sprinkles. We watched Mickey's valentines, and had a great day!

Dora Adventure San Antonio Botanical Gardens

We took Audrey and Eva to the San Antonio Botanical Gardens for the yearly Dora Adventure. Audrey received a map, and followed it around the gardens to discover adventures all over the place. We had such a great time. When one kid was asked.."Who do we ask for help when we don't know which way to go??" the response was "GPS, of course!!" That was just hilarious!

Audrey's First Haircut...

I was finally talked into letting Audrey get her first haircut. I cried...LOL, but Audrey was great! She just had a trim, and still has her Shirley Temple curls, and is still as cute as ever!
